Description
Classic French mold-ripened goats cheese from the Loire Valley in France.
Legend has it that it was originally shaped like a pyramid, until Napoleon passed through Valencay on his way back from his disastrous military campaign in Egypt. The cheese reminded him of the pyramids and in a fit of rage he lopped off the top of the cheese with his sword.
It’s nutty, slighty earthy and acidic – tres French!
