Gorwydd Caerphilly
£10.50 – £31.00
Description
Description
This cheese was originally made for Welsh miners in the 19th Century because the size and rind allowed them to eat it with their hands, and the cheese replenished nutrients lost as they worked.
Gorwydd Caerphilly is a traditional, Welsh Caerphilly made by Trethowan’s Dairy in Ceredigion.
It has a fresh, lemony tangy flavour and moist texture with an earthy rind.
PLEASE NOTE: IF THIS CHEESE IS UNAVAILABLE, WE WILL SUBSTITUTE WITH DUCKETT’S CAERPHILLY.
