Fourme d’Ambert

Description
Description
This cheese comes from the Auvergne region of France. It is sometimes referred to as the ‘connoisseur’s blue cheese’ because it is not an aggressive-tasting blue cheese. It has a firm, buttery, rich texture and quite a subtle flavour. Its shape makes it an attractive addition to a cheese board.
We love this cheese with Stout beer or dessert wines, but also some full bodied reds such as Rhones. A little drizzle of honey with truffles is also a great addition.
