The word Berkäse means mountain cheese in German and refers to a number of cheeses all made in the Alpine region whether that be in Germany, Switzerland or Austria.
Mature for more than 12 months, creating an intense flavour, with a rind covered in wild meadow herbs, this is a great addition for any cheeseboard.
